Today we find Abner in the Jot Em Down store, trying to explain his new insurance policy to Grandpap. The old gent tells about his friend Orlo warmly and his insurance policy. What exactly happened to or low? Nothing other than getting Abner frustrated. Never fear! Grandpap has more friends with insurance policies and accidents that never happened to them.
Lum enters and comments on the newly repaired store. It’s looking good after the recent fire. As he goes to the feed room, Abner cleans up some of the mess the painters left. As he works, Grandpap gets Abner’s worries up by commenting on the greeting Lum gave.
Why was Lum so interested and Abner’s health? And what about his comment about making a lot of money in the next few months? He was just talking about Sales, right? With Abner’s paranoia kicking into high gear, Grandpap leaves. Now it’s Lums turned to worry when he sees the expression on Abner’s face.
