It’s Winter time in the Old West. Brit rides the range, and runs across a boy on foot. Clearly a runaway, Brit uses his skill at tact to talk sense to the kid. Seems a shame to be a runaway at Christmas.
Brit tells the boy a Christmas flavored story. A cowboy version of the Christmas Carol. Just listen in to hear the Western styled character of Scrooge. Fiddlesticks! And the wandering cowhand who is just looking for a place to stay.
Complete with the ghosts of his former partner, and the nighttime visitors that do their best to soften the heart of old Eben. Brit provides voiceover to move the story along, as it is dramatized. Of course, there’s more to the story than just the parallels from the classic Charles Dickens tale. As old Eben and the ghosts tour the bunkhouse, will he be transformed, as old Scrooge was? What about that little runaway boy? Will Brit be able to turn him around, and send him on the path back home? I think you know, but it’s definitely a touching story with a message to be learned. Worth giving it a listen anytime of year.
