Despite being out numbered, Manuel is certain the luminous ring is the equalizer they need. Billy wants to try to get away to fight, but his movements could be mistaken for cowardice by the warriors. Its best to stay put and wear a brave face. Betty and uncle Jim describe the happenings. Has the superstitious natives been stopped in their tracks? Has the ring struck fear in the natives with magic power?
The medicine man doesn’t know what to make of it. He’s sure the ring is powerless, but isn’t sure why its so important to the white visitors.
