Fibber McGee and Molly – Fibber Converts Furnace To Coal. ep334, 421013

As Fibber tries to do his part to conserve oil for the war effort, he only runs into interruptions. First his tools are missing, then the Old Timer visits to marvel at the switch back to coal. Billty Mills plays a jazzy number to move the show along.

More distractions move in when Fibber becomes engrossed in a crossword puzzle. Abigail Uppington pops in to tell about her dog, FeeFee, and the dog show. Now he needs more tools, but his run to the hardware store has to wait until after Harlowe Wilcox pitvches the conservation properties of the sponsor product.

Molly steps out, and Teeny arrives to ask the endless question… why? Will Fibber be able to explain what conservation is all about? Will she at least understand what a pun is? The Kingsmen sing, I Got a Touch of Texas.

After Fibber’s return, armed with coveralls, and tools for the job, Wallace Wimple enters. He’s looking in the pink today, but it’s not as healthy for him as the McGee’s think, when it turns out it involves his big old wife, Sweetie Face. Mayor Latrivia visits , and gets the McGees confused over the happenings with his political house guests. What were those politicians doing, getting together secretly, and talking in 3 different languages. I think its time for a blustery slow burn. Will Fibber ever get his furnace converted? Ask Molly about what she did during Fibbers absence to the store.

Note: During the Old Timer’s visit we learn that St Louis just won the World Series. Also, Fibber confirms a Yankee ,loss when he returns from the hardware store.
