In the Long Branch saloon, Matt talks with Kitty, and a local rancher about a family in need. Taking Chester to visit the Nadler’s, we learn how poorly the settlers are doing. They’re so bad off that Mat offers to help buy seed for their crops.
Elsewhere on the prairies, weak and sickly, Ed horpe and his wife die before Matt can take them to town for help. All that’s left is their little baby. Mrs Nadler and husband Joe have come to town for supplies, and maybe even volunteer to take the baby. Suspicious things are going down though.
Are the Nadlers trustworthy? Are they as poor as they seem, or just a couple cattle rustling thieves? The charge takes a serious turn when murder enters the picture. Listen and learn how justice is done, and who ends up with that baby, if anybody.
