An ancient city, carved out of the jungles near Saigon have drawn the attention of an expidition. When Captain Friday and a few in his party were to meet Dr Carter in a hotel, the doc was discovered to be missing. All Carter wants to do is observe the temple treasures, and the legendary seven headed cobra, but the government thinks that if the mysterious temple should appear, n uprising could be started among the native people. We find that Skip and Friday have been captured, held as prisoners, and transported by elephant caravan. Have they been betrayed by the man who was to offer protection to the group? What has become of Celia and Patricia?
The jungle seems to have parted, and a lost city emerged from it. Elsewhere, we joine the girls who talk about their own ride on camels, and abduction. What’s the stone room they’re being held in? They feel as though eyes are looking right through them.
Noises get the attention of the girls. Is it going to be another cobra? What kind of food has been brought to them? Chanting fills their ears in their locked room, and voices in the dark are heard right in their little dark room. Who is it? Where are they? Will they heed the warning to leave the temple, and Cambodia?
Back in the room where Captain Friday is located he learns that the girls are held somewhere near by. Can they escape? Have they reached the end of the caravan’s journey?? What more information has Skip managed to learn from his guards? Who can they trust, and who even knows they are missing? The vanishing act of the expidition members isn’t quite over yet. What new terror has come on our travellers?
