After manipulating their stock exchange to entice investors, Lum and Abner find themselves in debt to Cedric. Today, Abner hears that Lum actually made that sale of stock to Mose Moots, but it won’t be enough to cover what they owe. Lum chalks in updates to the tote board, and Abner gets confused over the kind of quotes Lum means.
Cedric enters, and Lum tries to get Cedric to hold off selling his shares since the market is supposed to be on the rise. Won’t that mean the gents will owe him even more money? The stock ticker lures Cedric into Lum’s plan to buy while the stock is high.
all the while, Mose has been on hold on the party line, listening to the skyrocketing finance report. Now its Mose turns to hop on the inflated prices to sell his stock back.
