Fibber McGee and Molly – Mrs. Uppingtons Window Part 1. ep309, 420113

Fibber is upset over a dream he had last night. He would never throw a rock through Abigail Uppington’s window, would he? A newspaper report seems to indicate that someone did. The Old Timer is first to ring the new chime doorbell today and tells that he was never accepted into the Boy Scouts. He also returns Fibbers lost gloves. Billy Mills plays a jazzy tune to move things along.

Fibber still can’t shake the feeling he broke Abigail’s window when a cop comes calling. Footprints are found going between the two houses. Can Fibber talk his way out of why he was hiding under the Davenport? Mayor Latrivia enters and lets Fibber know that he used to be a lawyer. Might he help Fibber deal with his potential rock-throwing case? The McGees wonder about the meanings of dreams when Harlowe Wilcox visits to spin the topic into a sponsor message.

Abigail Uppington visits, and Fibber really begins squirming. Could it just be an accidental rock thrown by a car tire? Not unless a car also attached a note to it. The Kingsmen sing, The Old Man of the Mountain.

Looking for clues, Detective McGee goes over to examine the scene at Abigail’s house. What’s that mysterious thumping sound? Wallace Wimple has some explaining to tell why he was in Abigail’s window seat. Does he have secrets to hide about where he was last night? But just when Fibber is about to reveal who he thinks did it… shots ring out… there’s a scream… and the show will continue next week.
