Whistler – The Waterford Case. 460422

Elaine Waterford feels helpless as she is forced to stand by while her uncle makes bad business decisionss with her father’s estate. Worse than that, Margret and Dick are being forbidden to marry. It’s all over family rivalry, and the obsession the heads of household have to ruin the other.

The heads of the Winters and Waterford families are long time rivals, and a plot to ruin the other is in full swing. The ordeal is enough to motivate Elaine to take matters, and a pistol into her own hands. A careful alibi is put in place, the murder scene is orchestrated, but will it be convincing enough to the cops?

The plan seems to work, and Elaine gets her way, manipulating the legal system to do her will. Though Dick has taken the fall for the crime, the distraught Margret still wants to marry Dick, and a date is set on the day of his execution. If she does, then Margret stands to inherit Dick’s estate on his death. Will Elaine stand for such a thing? Will she intervene again with another murder? Will someone learn her little secret about the earlier murder, and Dick’s innocence?

There’s still a twist to the story that’s sure to bring about justice. A secret that the cops explain as they step in at the last moment.
