Fibber McGee and Molly – Bullets Branigan. 460326

Where would the modern man of 1946 be without his newspaper and radio. Just about as uninformed as a man in the 21st century without his Internet, or cell phone. Wondering about the sirensss in the neighborhood, Fibber and Molly find themselves outside the information loop, and can only guess at what’s going on. Doc Gamble pops in to tell about the dangerous criminal loose in town, but not much more news is discovered.

Soon a nice looking stranger makes his appearance, telling the McGees that he’s part of the police force. Is the crook really hiding out in the house across the way? Wallace Wimple makes ann appearance to tell of his latest marital misadventures with Sweetie Face, as the stranger makes himself a sandwich in the kitchen.

When Mayor Latrivia pops in at 79 Wistful Vista, and knowing just about all the policemen on the force, the stranger seems a little nervous. Fibber may not be in on the secret, but something the fake cop does tips off Molly, and he’s delivered to justice.

PS: Bill Thompson has been recently discharged from the Navy, and besides Wallace Wimple, we get a good dose of his natural voice when he plays the fugitive crook, Bullets Branigan.
