Fate knocks at the door when Fibber receives a package. Molly has pulled some strings and ordered a kit for Fibber to sell watches. Old Timer visits to see if he can use the McGees as references, and gets a joke in. Fibber hits the streets to sell watches, after he takes a look in his closet. Billy Mills plays.


While down town Teeny talks about celebrating Lincoln’s Birthday. Fibber pits his sales skills against Harlows for the commercial. When Fibber tries to get the jewelry store to carry a line of his watches, there’s a holdup. The Kingsmen sing, Coming Through the Rye.

Fibber ends up before a judge. Boomer tries to lend some credibility to Fibber’s story. Followed by a few words from Mrs. Uppington. Charges pile up, then Gildersleeve arrives to straighten things out. Is there any hope for the whole gang to get out of jail?
