Narcotics detail. A few small fish have been caught, but now it’s time to go after the ringleader.
Working with his partner, Ed Jacobs, Joe works under cover. Stan, one of the small fish from the previous arrest keeps the cops in the loop as they try to not spook Red. Joe plays it like he got burned by the close call of the earlier arrest. Will it work to pressure Red? Will it get him closer to the real ringleader in the drug ring?
A meeting is set up to keep the cops informed. A phony shake down is planned so Joe can demonstrate how tough he is in front of Red. Is there any progress in trailing Red, or locating the ringleader? Is Joe over playing his tough guy act?
Impressions have been made, and a meeting set. All the cops can do is monitor activity, but they don’t seem any closer to the drug trail. Pasadena, at a big flower show, and a huge deal. Joe still hasn’t been able to make an identity on their ringleader. Only a quiet, middle aged man who admires the flowers. Wait… who would ever suspect a quiet man with prize winning flowers could be a drug lord?
