The Federalists are all for the Constitution, and a strong central government. The Anti-Constitution party prefers to keep a loose confederation of independant states, and are very strong on human rights. The belief, and fear is that the Constitution will benefit only the rich. In The meeting itself, Patrick Henry and James Madison face off to give speeches on the matter. The atmosphere is tense as emotions run high.
At this point 8 of the 13 states have already ratified the Constitution, and Virginia holds the key to sway the rest to come into agreement. Should Virginia vote against, the process of debate and in drawing up a new Constitution may take years to happen, if ever.
