Doctor Kildare – Dan Malloys Peptic Ulcer. 500713 (retro423)

A busy contractor is examined by Dr Kildare, but doesn’t have time for the extensive tests the medical men need to make a good diagnosis. The doctors convince him his health is more valuable than his time. Dan Malloy may be in for more down time after the results come back, and Kildare finds a problem on his x-ray. It’ll take some tactful bedside manner to get the workaholic Dan to consider selling out his stressful business, and taking it easy at his 160 acre lodge at the lake.

Dan is a hardworking man, who has found himself riding a desk. Without an outlet for his high energy personality, stress has built up. It’s not that he doesn’t want to enjoy the acreage in the woods, but his wife has designs on being a socialite, and doesn’t want to give up her new found prestige in town as the wife of an important man. Doctors Kildare and Gillespie get busy with an alternate medicine, trying to demonstrate that important families in the jet set will be impressed wih the little mansion in the woods. Will Mrs Malloy fall for the ruse, or will our good doctors have to try another approach?

Is it the place for doctors to step out of treating medical pproblems, and intervening into personal problems? Are any of the doctors strong willed enough to do battle with Mrs Malloy? What about nurse Parker, is she willing to sacrifice herself on the war frontof intervention? Dan’s inner caveman comes out to save the day, and sweep Mrs Malloy off her feet and into the woods.
