Crazy people. That’s the claim of the new theme song, and it fits with the crazy antics that George and Gracie deliver for their new sponsor on their new show. Gracie opens by talking to George and announcer, bud Easton, about her brother, boxers, and vaudeville acts. The new singing group, the Smoothies get a chance to show off. The Harvard educated soundman gripes at his lowly job.

Gracie invites the cast to her grandpa’s birthday party after the show. The Smoothies sing, the Woodpecker Song. Gracie gets a phone call to tell about how the arrangements for the party are coming along. Artie Shaw is the new bandleader, with his unruly Spanish guitar player, Mr Lee. the band plays, Alice Blue Gown.

Gracie shares secrets about Senor Lee, and Artie Shaw, then grandpa stops in for a visit. The spunky, womanizing grandpa meets the cast, and jokes around.
