Or, Case of he Ditch,
After turning out the evening patrol officers, and near the end of his tour, Captain Frank Canelli responds to a call regarding the body found in a sewer. The cold, snowy air seems to be no deterrent for onlookers. How is it the homicide victim wasn’t discovered sooner?
Later, Canelli reviews the details of the homicide in voiceover. A call about unruly dogs breaks the monotony from the murder case. In the morning, a woman comes to the precinct to inquire about her missing husband. Mrs Balney is unaware of why her husband is missing, but she fills the cops in on her man, who had been in trouble with the law in the past, but worked as a long showman. The hard news is given, and the search for a possible killer continues.
Another man is missing. Did John “Red” Gilliam have something to do with the murder? In voiceover, Canelli tells the progress of the search. In questioning Red, alibi’s are soon crushed, and the truth is exposed.
