Bob and Virginia take their tangled legal mess to a lawyer. They tell how their real estate woes began. Is the law against them, and on the side of landlords?
In flashback we learn about their quest to move out of an apartment, and into a home of their own. Forced to vacate their place, they find the ideal house. Real estate agents work on behalf of the buyer as well as the seller, right? A price is arived at, but Virginia’s suggestion to close the paperwork through a lawyer is shot down.
Troubles set in when a mortgage can’t be obtained. Their earnest money can’t be returned. Details about the property value is uncovered in an inspection. Can their ideal little home get any worse? Do they have a case at misrepresentation on the part of the real estate agent? Or does he have a case against them for not fulfilling their part of the contract they signed with him?
Back in the lawyer’s office, the real facts that needed to have been considered are layed out. Does Mr Ross have any hope to get them out of their housing mess, and not lose out on more than they bargained for? Fast action, and communication with the real estate agent holds the answer.
