A friend of Perry’s is in trouble, and for some reason a character known as the Laugher wants to stop him from going to help. Today we find the little bush plane that our heroes in is in a nose dive. The g-forces cause everyone to pass out… all but Clark Kent. Springing into action as Superman, he saves the plane and his friends from certain death.
Elsewhere, in his penthouse apartment, the Laugher gets word of the latest rescue. He shifts gears, and instead of trying to prevent Perry White and his reporters from reaching their destination, he wants to take every measure to ensure they arrive. Why the change of plans?
Back in Canada, Perry is frustrated at the delay in staying in the hotel, and not making progress in their travels. Lois is making the best of it by doing some shopping, while Clark is out, and locating a pilot who they can charter to take them to the remote hunting lodge. Shepherd is the pilot, and he is heading their way anyhow. His sole passenger is agreeable, so our heroes set out once again. Clark is surprised to find that he knows Mr Niles Graham, the sole passenger. A jovial mountain of a man.
