Jimmy Olsen has joined the gang, to Perry White’s frustration. Its too late to send him away since the plane is already in flight. Clark is willing to be fired to stick up for Jimmy, but you know it won’t come to that in the long run. Being temporarily fired, and not obligated to his former boss, Clark lets Perry know that he can be a tyrant at times.
Our heroes wonder at the mystery of why Perry’s friend in Canada is in such trouble.
Switching to a rickety plane of a bush pilot, our crew of reporters wonder at their safety in it. The pilot tries to assure them of his ability, but their enjoyment of the train is cut short when the engines begin coughing and sputtering.
The nose dive puts our gang into a panic, but Clark calmly waits. Why hasn’t he switched to Superman, or made any attempt at rescuing his friends?
