Jack Benny – High Noon. ep832, 530201

Announcing the man who never gives any change, Don hears a few comebacks from Jack. The play is announced, and Mary learns that Stanley Craemer, the producer of High Noon will be on board to contribute to the play. Bob Crosby gets teased about his band, and Dennis shares his plan to kiss all the girls today. How’s that going for him? As Stanley arrives, he talks shop, complete with technical jargon with Bob Crosby. When Jack tries to jump in, Mary shuts him down.

The play begins. The year, 1875. The place, Hadleyville where we find the sheriff getting ready for his wedding day. Gary and Amy say their vows. Jack flubs by calling Amy, Mary. The plan is to put away the guns, and retire, but the Miller gang is to come to town at high noon. Will Dennis be a deputy? He’s a cowboy who rides a cow. Jack keeps flubbing lines. As he continues to look for deputies, the Sportsmen sing a sponsor message based on the theme music from the movie.

Maybe someone from the Mexican qaurter will be deputized? Mel Blanc is Sy, and his sister Sue is with him. With nobody to stand with him, Jack heads to the train station alone. A shoot out is sure to go down.
