Columbia Playhouse – Plot To Overthrow Christmas

Orson Wells , Ray Collins, and others present a classic ode of the goings on in Hell. Written by Norman Corwin, the poetic account of the plot against Christmas is still relevant, and might easily have been written in our own contemporary times.

Satan and his deamons have conspired to send their worst envoy to earth to stop the annual festivities from happening. Why do the minions of the nether world hate the holidays so much? Will that firey tyrant of old, Nero, be able to put a match to the fun, and leave the season in ashes?

Nero faces off with Santa Claus himself at the North Pole, but which is the better man? Who will win and control Christmas?
