Abner faces losing his friend to a new career if the fight is won. If the fight is lost, it means that Lum will be crawling back to beg for his partnership back.
As we wait for the word, grandpap reads from a book on music, and learning to play the coronet. Squire enters, and shares Abner’s doubts whether Mousey will win. Under a little pressure from Squire, Abner risks his half of the store to bet that Mousey will win. Get ready, here comes Cedric with the news of the outcome of the boxing match. Will Abner lose his half ownership in the store? Or will Squire lose his insurance business to Abner?
