Vic and Sade – Hanks Two Hundred Dollar Wardrobe. 1940.

Wellsir, it’s evening at the house halfway up the next block. Vic has returned home from meeting with his friend Hank. The infamous Hank Gutstop is notorious for always hitting up Vic for a small loan, and always to Sade’s annoyance. She just doesn’t like that man.

Sade lays into Vic when she hears about the latest loan, and to see their hard earned money march right out of the house. She is rightfully indignant to blow her top when she hears how much the latest loan is for. And it’s not just chump change. Hank needs $200 so he can get a new wardrobe for his new job.

Vic defends his friend, and his ability to handle the new job as Sade fears the loan won’t ever be repaid. With all the money flowing around, Rush lingers in the background, hoping to just secure the loan of ten cents. I’m not sure this is the time to hit up the irate Sade for the cash. Although her distractions just might work to Rushes benefit.

In the end, Vic gets some bad news. It just isn’t Rushes day for asking his folks for that ten cents.
