Lum and Abner – Lum Arrives With Some Important Evidence. 350705. Horlicks: When you buy food and had a choice, you would buy only the ones with quality ingredients, and not those with inferior ones. Buy only the best when it comes to your malted milk product.
The scene in Pine Ridge opens in a courtroom where the evidence against Lum and Abner hasn’t been going their way. Lum is missing, while abner, Dick, and Grandpap talk about where Lum may be, and what has delayed him. The jury is imposing and intimidating.
Squire is smug and struts to the witness stand. He tells his version of the story as he talks to the jury. When Lum is summoned, Abner explains that he hasn’t come back yet from the insurance company and takes the stand. The incriminating letter is presented, then grandpap takes the stand. Though his testimony is sure to be a no nonsense one, his credibility is challenged, as is Cedric’s, over their being recently fired by Squire on grounds that they may hold a grudge.
Suddenly Lum rushes in from the insurance agent with news that blows the lid off of Squire’s defenses.
Horlick testimonial: A mother tells how her baby, was confined to an incubator, and Horlicks made him grow strong. By the time he was a year old he was at a normal hight and weight, and is now a healthy, 6 foot tall 15 year old.
PS: According to the official Horlicks web site, modern science has proven that the formulation of Horlicks is no replacement for a mother’s milk, and not recommended for babies less than 1 year old. Don’t believe me? Read it for yourself on the Horlick page. Check out their “Products”, or “Health” pages.
