Belleville, Lum and Abner find that they need a $200 license to perform.
Grandpap and Lum talk about driving to the county seat to take care of business, but nobody can see well enough to drive with those crazy novelty eye glasses they bought from the circus salesman. Abner hasn’t come in, due to his terrible headache that keeps lingering.
Over the phone, Abner gets a little confused over Lum’s figure of speech about rain. Lum manages to phone the bank to get his loan for the $200, but how can he get it to Squire in time? He still has to drive to finalize his business.
