Now, what’s happening in Pine Ridge? Recently the circus tent blew down and caused a minor disaster. Since then it has been taken care of, and things are nearly back to normal.
Today, Lum and Abner talk about getting out of the circus business. Abner gets a little confused when Lum mentions the overhead. Lum tries to explain about the circus expenses.
They are still having trouble with their novelty circus eye glasses so they have to leave running the circus to their nemesis, Squire Skimp. After they’ve pretty much invested all they have, they get a phone call from Squire, when the circus moved to Belleville, they still need $200 for a license to perform.
