Down in Pine Ridge, Lum and Abner plan to move the circus to a new town to keep making money with it. Today in the store Grandpap talks to Abner about the glasses that Lum is taking back to the circus to get a refund for him.
Abner has a little trouble with math, in the amount he expects his refund to be. When Lum returns, he’s a little defensive about that circus salesman. We find out in just a minute why. He just encourages Abner to give it time, and get used to the glasses.
Talk turns to Squire, and the topic of where to move the circus next. Lum manages to find a moving man to haul the circus, then he reveals the fact he also bought glasses from the circus hawker.
What’s the deal with those glasses anyway? They’re just circus novelty glasses. Cedric also bought a set, and it should be plain what the visual affects are from the short exchange of words at the end of the show. The glasses will be a running theme for a few shows.
