In Pine Ridge there was some excitement yesterday as Abner demonstrated his plan for taming lions, and having the lions spoil it all for him. He thought he was safe behind a glass partition, but the lion managed a break through, and put a scare into everybody, including the lion.
Lum comes to realize that he and Abner aren’t cut out for the circus life, and decide to let Squire hire outsiders to handle the show. Abner gets confused as to what a circus barker does. Then Lum confuses him over another figure of speach. And what’s the deal? Should Abner try to be a go-getter, or patiently wait? Can you do both?
Squire stops by with a word of bad news. With the grand opening, he had to hire the circus jobs that Lum and Abner were to do out to others. Darn, how disappointing.
Horlick drama: The young housewife has been out marketing, and shares her savings and economic decisions with her husband. As important as a budget may be, he puts his foot down on skimping on Horlicks. Get the real thing, and no substitutes.
