Don teases Jack about not making a film in over a year. In his own defense, Jack explains his contract with the movie studio. Phil enters to talk about the movie business with Jack, and why his last movie deal fell through. Mary finally gets to enter and compares Jack to the big stars. Although she may like Jack, I don’t think she would pass up Clark Gable, unless the line was too long. Mary tells secrets about Jack getting his footprints in the cement at Graman’s Chinese Theater. Don changes the topic by asking how Jack’s house is doing, but Jack isn’t quite done complaining about his film career. Kenny arrives with a book that he’s reading. It’s one by Einstein, which sounds impressive until we learn why Kenny really has it. Kenny sings, Love Walked In With You.
Jack talks with Kenny and Phil about their roles in last week’s play of Snow White. Even Mary gets complimented over her acting and singing, and a future in the opera seems to be a possibility. She brags that she’s going to be in a Silly Symphony. Jack marvels how great it would be to be in a cartoon. After Don squeezes in a commercial, Jack wants to get home to deal with issues at his house construction. Before he leaves, Phil puts in a plug for an upcoming appearance, then argues with Jack over gambling bets. Phil plays some travelling music, Tippy Tin.
Jack shows off his construction site as he looks for Mr Burgess, his contractor. After cracking the whip over his lazy construction workers, Jack and the gang are given a tour of the grounds. Inside, Jack gets a tour of how the rooms are coming along, and finds Rochester in his bed, sleeping.
After sending Rochester to his own quarters, the eccentric Mr Burgess leaves as well. Jack, Mary, and Kenny keep poking around until Jack finds himself caught in the cement mixer while Kenny and Mary slide down the bannister.
Don wraps up with another jello recipe idea.
