it’s Friday afternoon in Summerfield, and we find Leroy being puzzled about something. As he walks down the sidewalk he races home to see if Bertie is making doughnuts. He shares with Bertie and Marjorie was bothering him about his uncle Mort. Is there something fishy going on? Does it have something to do with Leroy? Elsewhere, we find Gildersleeve’s visiting his friend Judge Hooker. He needs to borrow his big suitcase. He’s trying to keep the trip secret so Leroy won’t bother him to go along.
It’s Friday night, and the family enjoyed the evening together. Marjorie tells about her involvement with leading the Girl Scouts. Leroy tries to gain trust from his uncle, and find out if there is anything going on. Taking a break from wearing down his uncle, Leroy gets some advice from Bertie. She shares an article that tells how to extract information from people who are asleep. Does it technique work?

With the cat out of the bag, Leroy begins pestering his uncle about going on that trip. Gildy thinks that the judge is the one who shared the secret, and goes to complain to him. Later, at the drugstore he grills Peavy to see if he knows anything about who exposed his secret. Back home, Leroy keeps up his pestering, but refuses to tell the secret of how he found out. All the buttering up doesn’t work, but Gildersleeve makes the deal that if Leroy can learn to time, he can go along. It’s nap time once again, and Leroy puts his trick to use again.

Back home, as Gildersleeve tries to eat breakfast Leroy keeps pestering him about going to Omaha. Will he share his secret with his uncle about who told him about the trip? Gildy stumbled upon the article about sleep, but will it work on Leroy?
