Lightning Jim – The Snake Strikes. ep9, 1952

"Lightning Jim" Whitey Larsen stands with his arms crossed, wearing cowboy attire including a hat, boots, and a gun holster. In the background is a rugged Western landscape with hills and desert.

As deputy Whitey Larson takes care of business related to his office with Marshall Lightning Jim, two hombre’s watch, and plan to kidnap him. It’s all to plot revenge on Lightning Jim, and lure him to their lair in a town South of the Border. Is it true? Will Lightning Jim be powerless to catch the banditos South of the border? At least he won’t have the authority of his office to back him up.

Lightning Jim and his young friend Johnny are devastated when the note arrives to let them know of Whitey’s abduction. To get the element of surprise, Jim travels in disguise with Johnny, forsaking his badge so the two can rescue their loyal friend.

The Mexican bandito, Calibra, or rattlesnake, seems to have the upper hand, for now. Is there any hope for Whitey to survive?

The bonds of a loyal friendship have a special strength, but will such high-hat morals offer any real help for Jim, Johnny, and Whitey? Jim’s disguise has taken him far, and may just be the thing to keep Whitey from certain doom.

The situation grows tense as Jim says his goodbyes with Johnny. Jim infiltrates the banditos camp, but he is soon found out. It looks like the end for our hero, but what about Johnny? Help comes from an unexpected source.
