George and Gracie read the newspaper at the breakfast table, each enjoying their favorite sections. Gracie chats it up about her favorite Hollywood celebrities when she gets it in her head to marry off Bill Goodwin, and help him to settle down. Especially when she reads about Bill getting into a fight with Caesar Romero over a girl.
When Bill stops in the jokes about married life begin. Will Bill’s steady gal really be in danger of being won away by Caesar Romero? To spark a little jealous romance, Gracie invites Caesar over, along with Bill and his girlfriend.
Will Gracie have anything to worry about with Caesar, and his being a wolf, when she visits him at his house to invite him to dinner? After some initial zaniness, Gracie explains her plan, and Caesar is up for helping her out.
The moment arrives and Gracie keeps trying to sell Bill and his gal, Jean on the merits of being married. Caesar arrives, and he and Bill get into a friendly argument as rivals. Jokes and arguments range from movie careers, Bill’s girlfriend, and age. When there appears to be a standoff, Gracie pushes the issue, and asks Caesar to propose to Bill’s girlfriend. Will he? Will she accept? Bill freaks out when not only does Caesar move in on his girlfriend, but Caesar even takes over the mid show commercial.
As Bill melts down, it looks like the girl is all set to marry Caesar. In the words of Caesar, “Wat Happened?” Now it’s up to Gracie to talk the girl out of marrying Caesar Romero. If she can.
