AFRS – The Greatest Story Ever Told Maybe The Birth of Jesus

The Old Testament prophet Isaiah prophesied the birth of Christ. A combination of Scripture and drama continues as Mary receives the angel Gabriel. Meanwhile, Joseph has his own angelic encounter. As the young couple deal with their troubles, the proclamation of a new tax is announced. The three-day journey is enough to worry about with a mother who was ready to give birth, but the young married couple are faced with having no room at the ends. As a young couple settle and, Mary given the birth. Nearby, some shepherds also receive a message of great joy. What else can they do? They visit the newborn baby. Elsewhere, Wiseman visit King Herod to ask about the stars in the sky. The travelers visit and leave their gifts. Angelic warnings mean that the Wiseman leave without revisiting the king, and Joseph is commanded to take his family to flee to Egypt. A troubling turn of events arises when a king is jealous over the potential rival to his throne. As tragic as the news is, there’s still a message of hope and homecoming for the young family. In the end, we find Jesus spending a teaching moment with his disciples.
