Command Performance – Danny Thomas, Dick Haymes, Ginny Simms. ep163, 450222

Buy Bonds: A large billboard on the exterior of a building promoting war savings stamps. It reads, "Pledge your quarters for victory, buy and invest wisely in War Savings Stamps." The text highlights that these are "guaranteed by U.S. Government” with "4% interest." The advertisement encourages supporting the war. The scene includes a street view with trees, a building with columns, and a decorative streetlamp in front.

John Garfield hosts, and after teasing with Ken Carpenter about girls, he introduces Ginny Simms. Ginny sings, Saturday Night is the Loneliest Night of the Week. John is joined by Dick Haimes to complain about women troubles. It’s a little hard to tell if the woman haters are bragging or complaining though.

Dick Haimes sings, Paper Moon. In response to mailbag requests, Danny Thomas joins the woman haters club. Danny sings an Egyptian flavored comic song. The gang put on a musical melodrama of dance band melodies as dancers move through the scene, making wisecracks and jokes along the way.

Ginny responds to requests and has a medley of songs to sing. Songs include: Three Little
Words, Tea for Two, Somebody Loves Me, and others.
