A particular thug in town is giving people trouble. His name is Oscar Wolfe, and even Shorty and a gang of his friends want to have a piece of the troublemaker. Of course, Oscar comes up dead, and Farraday is fast to take the bait that sets up Blackie.

The key piece of evidence is a tape recording of Blackie talking threateningly to Oscar. Who knew he was planning to go to Oscar on such short notice? Would Shorty, or one of his friend’s frame Blackie? Acting on an idea from Mary, Blackie is off to confront his own most likely suspect. He has to keep hiding from the cops, but his sting operation just might work.

Blackie pretends to be lured into a trap by the killer, but he’s really planning his own trap. Should Farraday be called in to help with the dangerous situation? Though Blackie thinks he has it under control, I think Mary might have her own back up plan up her sleeve. The forces of law, and Boston Blackie converge to cause secrets of drug smuggling and supply rackets to explode into the open.
