Abbott pitches in his two cents on teaching Costello his piano scales. Bud sends for a piano tutor, but can he teach Lou concert piano before evening the double speaking teacher only confuses Lou all the more.

Lou still can’t play the piano, but Bud agrees to help. The only song he knows is, “pistol packing mama,” and he hides behind the screen while Costello pretends to play. They work at verbal cues so Bud knows when to start and stop playing. Nothing can go wrong, can it? After a rough start, the classical piece she requests sounds suspiciously like pistol packing mama.
