Racing off to get a kitten named Annabelle, Grandpap takes a phone call from sister Simpson. Misunderstandings are taking place when she doubts that Annabelle is actually the kitten that grandpap claims. The gossip burns up the party line to confuse Lum.
Mousey enters, and he tries to help Lum figure who Annabelle is. Could she be an old flame? Lum takes it on himself to intervene for his friend. Will one of his greeting cards say the right thing, and save the day?
