Cedric is still having troubles in his love life, and has taken to the hills to live as a hermit. Today, we join Lum and Abner as they review how Mousey got injured in giving Cedric a lesson in love. Abner gets confused over a greeting card that Lum is working on to deal with awkward behavior at a party. .

Loneliness seems to have ended Cedric’s career as a hermit. Will he be the mood for more advice from Lum and Abner? Not likely, but it gives Lum an idea. He composes a letter on Cedric’s behalf, that he intends to send to an advice columnist.

The letter, and its edits begin to confuse Abner in the vane of Abbott and Costello’s Who’s on First routine. When Cedric puts his own input into the mix, Lum decides that he’s had enough.
