Jenny receives a phone call from Patience about the choir practice tonight. The widow, Patience, has a man in her house, but he’s a burglar. Eli, also a Deputy, is soon on the way to investigate. Despite the official legal talk, the group realize that they need to practice.

After the song, the investigation is back on, as Patience shows concern over Ben’s health. The men go off to handle things, and Alice sings her solo. Fortunately, in old-fashioned small-town life, folks are honest. A teenager turns himself in before Deputy Eli can finish his paperwork.

As Alice takes the boy aside, Cliff sings his solo. Eli is frustrated over a crime that has solved itself, but Bob, the teenager explains all. Everybody is forgiving, and understanding. It’s time for the hymn, so the show must be nearly over. The lesson to learn is that when good faith is expressed, hearts can be changed, and evil ways are overcome with good clean employment.
