Lum and Abner – How To Spend The Money. 420402

Lum, Abner and their real-life wives are sitting together on a bench outdoors, near a pool. They appear relaxed and are smiling at each other. The two people on the left are wearing casual attire, while the two on the right are dressed more formally, with the person on the far right in a light-colored suit and bow tie. Trees are visible in the background under a clear sky, suggesting a pleasant day.

Peace and quiet has once more settled over Pine Ridge. The only problem facing Lum and Abner is how to spend the money that Diogenes left them.

Rather than keeping it for themselves, they feel it ought to be spent to make the town a better place. Abner gets confused on the topic of elevating the social life of the town. There are no buildings tall enough to need an elevator. He also gets confused at Lum’s mention of the painting of Whistlers Mother.

Lum decides to leave the decision up to the citizens of Pine Ridge. Not mentioning that the money exists, a poll is put together to get ideas. To test it out, Cedric enters, and the question is posed, “If you had $10k, how would you spend it to better Pine Ridge?” Cedric concentrates on the matter, so Lum and Abner leave him to his thoughts. Lum tries his imaginary question out on grandpap. The first results don’t look very promising. Will Lum get the answers he’s looking for to guide him?
