Featuring Guy Madison as Wild Bill, and Andy Devine as Jingles. Among western outlaws there was none so dangerous as Faro Stroud. Though the outlaw has been captured, and is in jail, a lynch mob is about to raid the jail to take justice into their own hands.
Wild Bill rides up to help the local sheriff break up the riot, and provide support for the local lawman. As it turns out, Stroud is an old childhood friend of Wild Bill. It doesn’t take long for the riotous crowd to return. Now what. Suspense and drama flare up when Bill is reduced to gunplay, and the jail is set on fire. Pops! Pops! Where are my pops? I must have eaten them right out of the box as I sat on the edge of my seat.
Back to the story. Outside, and after the gunplay disperses the crowd again, a few ringleaders linger. They regroup for more plans, while Bill and Jingles escape with Faro Stroud. What will happen with Bill’s outlaw friend now? Will he allow himself to be taken in, or will Bill let him get a little revenge?
The trio relax on a train, but the instigators from the jail plan to tear up the tracks and cause a train wreck. After another sponsor reminder, the drama continues.
The adventure comes to a head when Faro jumps from the train, but the train derailment is only miner, thanks to the watchfulness of the engineer. Justice comes to all the bad guys in the end, but I don’t want to spoil how Bills’s friend sticks to his word and helps out, even though he doesn’t escape justice for himself.
