The smooth-talking seeker of honesty, Diogenes enters, then when Lum arrives he gets a report of the latest trip to deliver pamphlets. A report of a police detective, and an arrest in the county seat has a powerful effect on Diogenes.
Will Lum and Abner figure out there’s something shady going on? Will they keep their trust in the suddenly nervous Diogenes. Lum is blinded to the authority bestowed on him to be in charge of everything as Diogenes makes a hasty get away.
