Lone Ranger – The Black Lamb. 470818

Loan Ranger and Silver, 1965.

Gabe Willis, chief rancher was apprehensive when he heard hoofbeats approaching. What do the writers from the Circle O gang want with him? It looks like there may be trouble between the cattle herders and the sheep men if Gabe can’t control where his sheep graze. Elsewhere, the Lone Ranger and Tonto discuss the weather when they spot the stray lamb. They get the latest details of the trouble when they talk to young Bobby when they bring the boy and the lamb home. Young Bobby is the son of the rival cattlemen, but he doesn’t seem to have many problems with the sheep. Has the Lone Ranger arrived in time to stop any gunplay?

In town, Tonto goes unobserved as he listens in on the cowboys of the Circle O. Has the last straw between the rival ranchers been reached? The Lone Ranger joins Tonto to speak with Jed Hawkins of the circle or ranch. Can the mass command Makepeace without Jed jumping to conclusions about his intentions?

Temperatures reached the boiling point, and the cowboy’s give a final warning against tearing down their fence. Tempers may be hot, but the weather takes a cold snap and the snow begins to fly. As Lone Ranger and Tonto ride to the cold night, had they discovered a way to avoid arrange war? New troubles are discovered when they find Bobby’s horse but no youngster in sight.

With Bobby in danger, it’s enough to convince Jed to call his cowboys off of the gunfight. A truce is called, and all parties involved begin their search for Bobby. The storm rages. Will Bobby be found? Even if they find him, will it be enough to resolve the range work?
