The Shadow – Hounds In The Hills. ep22, 380220

A black and white illustration of "The Shadow" character from the 1930s pulp fiction and radio series, featuring a dark-cloaked figure with a fedora and scarf covering most of his face, except for his piercing eyes and prominent nose. He stands with his hands at his sides, looking off to the side with a serious expression. The background is a textured, cloudy sky.

A boy is in the woods near an old house that is said to be haunted. Dogs howl, and old Sadie give the house the reputation it deserves. Is the kid in trouble? Elsewhere, Lamonte and Margot get word that a child has been lost for about two weeks now. Going on the clues he has learned of; the Shadow finds the boy and comforts him. It doesn’t take much for the Shadow to learn of other boys held captive, and the house isn’t as haunted by ghosts as its reputation lets on.

Now it’s time for the Shadow to put a scare into old Sadie, and the other mobsters hiding out in the place. The mobsters try to trap the Shadow in the house. Will their plan work? They have vicious dogs who make the howling, and would attack any strangers outside. Their plan makes sense, but I think the Shadow has a few tricks of his own up his sleeve.
