A shake down racket has been operating on the South side of town. When small business owners don’t buy from the local gangster, they find themselves being roughed up, or having their business ruined. When Steve hears of the patriotic family who has just been tormented, he takes a personal offense. The immigrant family had men who served in both world wars, and for the price the family has paid keeping America free, they now have to face crooks who want to take away their hard work.

What can Steve do for the family? It may not be in protecting their safety, but from the law when they take the law into their own hands. Steve tries to redirect the courage the family shows away from retaliation, and towards using the law to settle matters properly. Can Steve run interference between the racketeer and the Salerno’s, or will he just be finding danger waiting for him?

Steve finds him in a life-or-death situation when he’s trapped inside a walk-in freezer. It’ll take some fast thinking if he hopes to survive and get help from the police.
