The men in the little white coats could be coming for Sam as he phones in his report to his secretary. Effie Perine. Escaping the mad scientists, he tells her all about it as he dictates the report to her.
Mr Fox has invented a new chemical, “Penitron” that will revolutionize industry and technology. He thinks his patent lawyer, Roscoe Manning, is cheating him. It takes some doing, and getting friendly with a receptionist named Lois, but a money trail is located. It leads Sam to a hospital for the mentally deranged.
Sam recounts his first day in the asylum, and how he manages to get the attention of Grearson, the man ultimately accused at swiping the formula. Will he learn secrets about his client to make Sam doubt his sanity? Sane or not, there’s money to be made for Sam, and he keeps on his mission to put the finger on Grierson.
Doubts are raised about Lois. Can she be trusted? Some confusing dots are beginning to be connected, and Sam sets out to tie up some loose ends to nab his man.
