Annie and Joe are faced with the problem of having to build their own radio. Is this a job that’s too big for even Annie?
Being stuck on an island, it’s going to take more than building the kind of crystal set radios they had at home to tune in their favorite radio programs. They need to have something powerful enough to broadcast to the world. They have plenty of parts on hand to build one.
First, they need plenty of electric power. Do they have enough wires to wind into coils to make a magneto? It may not work, but it’s worth a try.
Their friend Wilcox helps them out, while elsewhere on the island, food shortages may cause a mutiny. Raids for supplies could be in the works, and Annie could be in real danger from pirate raiders.
