Our gruesomely punny host presents a newspaper story. A story of a man, the doll of a dead girl, and the devil. How did such a scene come to be? The man, a reporter for the newspaper goes into flashback sequence to fill in the details.
Ten days earlier, the reporter visited the morgue about a story of a young woman who was murdered, and was brought in still clutching a doll. The cops don’t think it’s a murder, but the editor lets the reporter investigate.
Questions explode in the reporters head. If only the doll could talk. Suddenly, it does. Obsessed with the case, and on a long walk to clear his head, he meets the man who made the doll. Secrets are revealed, but are they secrets that should be left alone? What connection does this dollmaker and painter have with the girl, and with the devil?
The reporter thinks the devil in question is more natural than supernatural, and has a trap to spring. . He uses himself for the bait, but has he bitten off more than he can chew?
Well, that’s where the story began. The twist ending will reveal the answers, but I won’t.
