Hermit’s Cave – Reflected Image of The Desert. ep3, 1930’s

Two men are on foot in the desert, struggling with a battle of thirst. Is their vision of a woman a mirage, or has she directed them to a source of water? Sure, enough they find a cabin, and a crusty old timer who has his own story to tell.

The old gent recounts in flashback how he came to this land, and sent home to have his gal brought to him. It’s a tale of Lyla finding love with another, and leaving Fred. Fred fights and wins, but has he regained the love of Lyla?

The hermit still has more to tell of these three men, alone in the desert, and the strange story of murder. The old prospector tells how he forced Lyla to work in his mines, and keep their secret. Has he made her suffer enough for her sins? Is Lyla only a ghostly apparition?
