Joe Friday tries to pose as someone in the underworld, looking for connections? He tells through voiceover the overarching use of undercover cops to gather information. Joe poses as a big shot from San Fransisco looking for a major supplier. He manages to get his man, but not without a snafu that almost put Joe Friday in mortal danger.
Note: this is a reproduction of an earlier script. I don’t have the date of the earlier show handy though. As I recall, the first production ran in two parts, bringing down some small fry pushers in the first show, and moving to the mastermind of the ring in the second episode.
